The Yamaha TX16W is a professional-grade Digital Wave Filtering Sampler that redefined sampling technology by integrating advanced sound design capabilities into a sleek rack-mountable unit. Equipped with a unique Dynamic Digital Filtering system, it allows for precise and noise-free real-time signal processing while still in digital form, ensuring high-quality results.
With a maximum of 16-note polyphony and up to 16 simultaneous voices, each on their own MIDI channel, the TX16W offers extensive creative flexibility. Each voice can be split into 32 key zones, with dedicated filter, envelope generator (EG), and LFO controls, making it easy to create complex, layered sounds.
The Yamaha TX16W supports stereo sampling at 33.3 kHz and mono sampling at 16.7 kHz, 33.3 kHz, and 50 kHz with 12-bit resolution, allowing for highly detailed sample reproduction. It comes with 1.5 MB of internal sampling memory, which is expandable up to 6 MB using optional EMM15 expansion modules, providing ample space for capturing and manipulating samples.
Designed for professional studio use, the Yamaha TX16W features 2 mixed audio outputs and 8 independent outputs for versatile routing options. Its illuminated 2-line, 40-character backlit LCD makes it easy to navigate through settings, and the built-in 3.5″ floppy disk drive allows for efficient data storage and sample management.
Whether you’re creating custom samples or layering sounds for live performances, the Yamaha TX16W provides powerful tools and a user-friendly interface, making it an essential piece of equipment for any serious producer or sound designer.
