TUBE-TECH ME 1B Midrange Equaliser Details

The TUBE-TECH ME 1B is a passive, all-tube midrange equaliser inspired by the legendary Pultec MEQ-5. It features two boost sections and one dip section, with a broader bandwidth design compared to the MEQ-5 for ultra-smooth, musical equalisation. Ideal for vocals, instruments, speech, and other midrange sources, it delivers exceptional results.

Midrange frequencies are crucial for shaping instruments and vocals, helping a mix achieve cohesion. The TUBE-TECH ME 1B excels at enhancing midrange tones with the unique warmth and openness of a passive equaliser, even under extreme boosts, avoiding any harshness.

Designed as the perfect complement to the PE 1C program EQ, the TUBE-TECH ME 1B also performs brilliantly as a bus EQ for various applications. It’s a key tool for capturing that iconic Motown midrange sound, adding richness and character to your recordings.

The TUBE-TECH ME 1B is a passive, tube-based midrange equaliser designed to meet and exceed the expectations of discerning studio engineers. It features a low-frequency boost, a midrange dip, and a high-frequency boost, all using passive filters followed by a tube-based push-pull amplifier to restore gain.

The unit includes balanced, fully floating input and output transformers with a static screen separating the primary and secondary windings for optimal performance.
