The SPL MixDream XP Mk2 is a high-quality 16-in-2 analogue summing mixer designed to enhance the depth, clarity, and spatial coherence of your mixes. Built with Class A technology and operating at an internal voltage of +/-30V, it delivers superior audio performance by preserving the natural harmonic richness and stereo imaging of individual tracks.
This unit allows for precise mono compatibility, with the first four channel pairs (1/2 to 7/8) switchable from stereo to mono. This ensures that critical mono elements such as kick, snare, lead vocals, and bass remain perfectly centred in the mix.
The last four stereo channels (9/10 to 15/16) feature an individually switchable -18 dB attenuation, allowing lower-level signals to be summed with greater digital resolution, making it particularly useful for processing reverb and other effects with more detail.
Output control is adjustable between -10 dB and +5 dB, enabling seamless integration with various AD converters while affecting both the main and monitor outputs simultaneously. For expanded summing capabilities, the SPL MixDream XP Mk2 offers an Expansion Input, allowing additional units to be linked together for more channels.
Designed for seamless integration into a modern DAW-based studio, the SPL MixDream XP Mk2 allows individual tracks to be sent from a digital workstation through D/A converters, summed in the analogue domain, and then recorded back into the DAW via an A/D converter.
This process enhances mix resolution, creating a final stereo sum with improved dynamic range and harmonic detail.
