The Speck Electronics X.Sum is a 32 x 4 line mixer that can be used for external DAW summing or as a line mixer for synths, samplers, and effects returns. It offers 16 stereo input channels, each with stereo level control, pan or balance control, a mix assign switch for routing the input channel to either the main stereo mix or Mix-B stereo mix, and a mono switch. Left and right balanced TRS inputs are provided for each channel.
The master section includes a master level control, stereo or mono switch, and monitor or phone level adjustment for the headphone jack and Mix-B output. The Speck Electronics X.Sum has high headroom and can handle balanced signals up to +28dBu. All audio inputs and outputs are fully balanced and available on TRS connectors.
A Multi-function I/O connector on the rear panel increases the functionality of the Speck Electronics X.Sum’s inputs and outputs. An external breakout box is included, adding connectors for the Mix-B outputs and the pre-master Mix-A outputs, allowing the use of external preamps to add character and colour to the mix. The Speck Electronics X.Sum is expandable to 128 inputs by linking multiple units.
