The Rupert Neve 5057 Orbit is a 16 x 2 summing mixer that brings the tone, power, and depth of a Rupert Neve console into a compact 1U format. Rooted in six decades of console design experience, the Rupert Neve 5057 Orbit delivers legendary tonality, power, and an expansive soundstage through class-A analogue summing.
Equipped with custom audio transformers and Silk Red and Silk Blue circuitry for variable harmonic saturation, the Orbit enhances sterile in-the-box mixes with increased tone, depth, and clarity without compromising the recallable convenience of a DAW-based workflow.
The Rupert Neve 5057 Orbit features a custom output transformer configuration, providing both a Main Output and a -6dB Output. The -6dB Output enables users to drive the unit harder to achieve greater transformer harmonics without clipping subsequent devices.
The continuously variable Texture control with Silk Red and Silk Blue modes offers precise control over harmonic content. Silk Red emphasises transformer saturation in the high and high-mid frequencies, while Silk Blue focuses on the low and low-mid frequencies, adding weight and thickness to the mix.
Multiple units can be combined via Bus Link for expanded channel counts. The Rupert Neve 5057 Orbit can also integrate with the 5059 Satellite and 5060 Centerpiece to form a modular Rupert Neve summing and mixing system.
With precisely fixed channel levels, ultra-low crosstalk, and channels matched to within ±0.1dB, the Rupert Neve 5057 Orbit delivers wide, accurate stereo imaging and superb depth, allowing every detail of the mix to be heard.
