The Lake People DAT RS 05 is a versatile clock generator, reclocker, and format converter designed to optimise digital audio signal transmission. Its internal clock refines incoming digital signals and eliminates jitter with precision down to the picosecond range.
For even greater performance, the Lake People DAT RS 05 can be optionally fitted with a femto clock, reducing jitter to the femtosecond level and virtually eliminating it altogether.
The unit supports up to four digital inputs, including AES3 via XLR, S/PDIF or AES3id via coaxial (Cinch), optical via TOSLINK, and optionally USB. Any selected input is simultaneously distributed to all available digital outputs, regardless of signal type or sample rate.
A standout feature is the front-panel volume control, allowing direct adjustment of speaker levels when using digital inputs. For added convenience, this control can be upgraded with a motorised potentiometer and remote functionality, enabling level adjustments via remote control.
