HHB CDR830 BurnIT PLUS CD Recorder Details

The HHB CDR830 BurnIT PLUS builds upon the robust feature set of the original CDR830 BurnIT, adding even more functionality for professional use. It includes a Word Clock input, allowing for synchronisation with a host clock during playback, which is ideal for maintaining audio integrity in fully digital environments. Additionally, the BurnIT PLUS is equipped with balanced XLR analogue I/O and balanced XLR digital I/O, making it suitable for a wide range of professional applications.

The CD Text feature on the BurnIT PLUS allows users to store disc, track, and artist names with each recording, which are then displayed on any CD Text-compatible player or recorder. This is particularly useful for demos, sound libraries, DJs, CD jukeboxes, and archiving. Each entry can be up to 120 characters long, with longer titles scrolling across the display.

Recording from various sources such as CD, DAT, MD, or hard disk is straightforward with the HHB CDR830 BurnIT PLUS, thanks to its SCMS-free digital input. The built-in sample rate converter (SRC) handles sampling rates from 32kHz to 48kHz, and the recorder offers three synchro modes: 1 Track, All Tracks, and All Tracks with Finalise. The digital record gain control allows precise adjustment of input levels, which is especially useful when compiling a CD from multiple sources with varying volume levels.

The HHB CDR830 BurnIT PLUS offers separate level controls for each digital input—both coaxial and optical—and all signal levels can be monitored via LCD meters during recording or playback. An input monitor facility is also included, along with a left/right digital balance control to fine-tune the balance between digital and analogue sources before recording.

With five CD-RW erase modes, the HHB CDR830 BurnIT PLUS provides great flexibility in managing recordings. These modes include the ability to erase individual tracks, multiple tracks, all tracks, the table of contents, or the entire disc.
