HHB CDR830 BurnIT CD Recorder Details

As you’d expect from HHB, the new HHB CDR830 BurnIT CD Recorder combines exceptional value with top-notch quality in both design and engineering.

The HHB CDR830 BurnIT features high-precision 24-bit A-D converters and 24-bit multi-level Delta Sigma D-A converters, ensuring recordings of the highest quality. The carefully engineered CD laser assembly guarantees that every CD-R and CD-RW disc written by the BurnIT is highly accurate, enhancing compatibility with other CD players and recorders. Built to withstand the demands of studio use, the BurnIT records on widely available, low-cost discs and offers an SCMS-free digital input, along with three easy-to-use synchro record modes and a built-in sample rate converter.

The HHB CDR830 BurnIT’s CD Text feature allows users to store disc, track, and artist names with each recording. This information is displayed whenever the disc is played on a CD Text compatible player or recorder—ideal for demos, sound libraries, DJs, CD jukeboxes, and archiving. Each entry can be up to 120 characters long (including spaces), with titles scrolling if they exceed the display length.

Recording from CD, DAT, MD, or hard disk is straightforward with the BurnIT’s SCMS-free digital input. The built-in sample rate converter (SRC) accepts sampling rates from 32kHz to 48kHz, and the recorder offers three synchro modes: 1 Track, All Tracks, and All Tracks with Finalise. When recording from a digital source, the BurnIT’s digital record gain control allows precise adjustment of signal input levels, making it easy to normalise volumes across different tracks when creating a compilation CD.

Each digital input—both coaxial and optical—has its own level control, and all signal levels can be monitored via the LCD meters during recording or playback. An input monitor facility is also included, as well as a left/right digital balance control, enabling fine-tuning of the balance between digital and analogue sources before recording.

The HHB CDR830 BurnIT also offers five CD-RW erase modes for greater flexibility when compiling recordings. These modes include erasing individual tracks, multiple tracks, all tracks, erasing the table of contents, or erasing the entire disc.
