Eventide H3500 DFX Sampling Ultra Harmonizer®

The Eventide H3500 is capable of creating affects you have never heard before (1992) and is fully MIDI controllable with click less, real-time MIDI control. The Eventide H3500 incorporates all the effects of the Eventide H3000-SE, plus the Mod Factory dynamic presets, and the Eventide HS322/395 Sampler card.

Eventide H3500 DFX Sampling Ultra Harmonizer® Details

The Eventide H3500 came several years after the H3000 and added little more other than the sampling feature. Internal electronics of the Eventide H3500 remained the same as the Eventide H3000 so performance was ultimately the same.

Full stereo with the lushest chorus (underwater chorus is my favorite), unique effects (try crystal echoes on distorted guitars) and reverbs that give Lexicon a run for their money. I still like my PCM-70 reverbs better, but it’s only a mono input / stereo out unit – using the two together can create the lushest most divine reverb tails you’ll ever hear. And it does all the vocal processing, broadcast functional stuff like megaphones, aircraft comms channel, harmonization, and plus it has a sampler too… which I haven’t even begun to tap into yet. The possibilities of combining this with another stereo unit, or using a TC-2290 in front of it… make one drool.

This is God’s effect unit. They made some other units later, but I don’t see much better stuff in the 4000 range and the 8000 / 9000 range don’t have the sampling that can loop up to something like 48 seconds of audio… those are still selling on the used market but this one isn’t really available much since all the units are installed in the holy ambience chamber beyond the pearly gates. I happened to find one locally and it is never going out of my sight for more than a nanosecond, even has a GPS locator installed, although I don’t know if that will correctly locate it if is gets snarfed by some kind of higher being, be that a deity or advanced alien race that wants to “borrow” it for “the weekend”.
