The Eventide Eclipse features 24-bit digital conversion and 96kHz sampling, making it a unique effects processor in its class. With nearly 100 algorithms and a dual effects block design, it offers the flexibility to function as two independent processors, ideal for budget-conscious studios.
Inputs and outputs for the two effects blocks can be configured as stereo or mono, or combined for multi-effects without sacrificing quality.
Classic Eventide effects include seamless pitch shifting, with the innovative Micro pitch shift used by FOH engineers and vocalists, alongside 11 reverb algorithms and four plex algorithms originally developed for the Orville™ and DSP 7000 series.
All reverbs are true stereo in/out. The extensive delay options include band, chorus, comb, ducked, ring, and pan delays, with 20 seconds of memory per effects block, making it a looper’s dream. Looping presets like 20-second mono, dual 10-second, and reverse loops leave the second FX block free for additional effects.
Designed for live performance, front-of-house, and studio work, the Eclipse delivers reliable, professional results in a compact package. The rear panel includes AES/EBU, S/PDIF, ADAT™ Lightpipe™, balanced XLR, and unbalanced ¼” inputs/outputs. It supports high-impedance signals, Word Clock, MIDI, and pedal ports. Software updates are easy via the serial port, with no chip changes required.
Operation is simple with the Eventide knob and keypad, familiar to users of the H3000 series. Hot Keys provide quick access to key parameters and can be customised for any preset. A dedicated tap button controls delay tempo, LFO frequency, autopanner speed, or tremolo rate, with adjustable averaging from 2 to 12 taps.
The Eclipse also supports custom preset creation, allowing users to load algorithms, set routing, assign Hot Keys, and tweak settings. Presets can be stored internally or on a compact flash card for easy transfer between devices.
This combination of power, versatility, and usability ensures the Eventide Eclipse stands out as more than just an effects processor – it’s an essential tool for any audio professional.
