AudioScape 76F Limiting Amplifier

The AudioScape 76F Limiting Amplifier was released in 2018. This meticulously crafted recreation of the legendary UREI 1176 "Rev F" FET compressor offers classic, aggressive compression with a modern touch, making it suitable for contemporary productions.

AudioScape 76F Limiting Amplifier Details

The AudioScape 76F delivers all the punch and character of the AudioScape 76A, with a touch of modern refinement that makes it perfect for contemporary productions. It includes the iconic “ALL BUTTONS IN” Ratio Mode, as well as the flexibility to combine ratios like 4:1 and 12:1 for unique compression effects.

Featuring a Cinemag CM-O12 input transformer, a stunningly accurate replica of the original UTC O-12 iron, the AudioScape 76F sets itself apart as one of the first budget-friendly vintage FET compressors to use this exceptional transformer.

In addition, the AudioScape 76F incorporates a period-correct B11148 output transformer, a key element of the classic “Rev F” sound. Compared to the AudioScape 76A, the AudioScape 76F offers slightly less upper-midrange bite and handles low-end compression with greater transparency. Its slightly slower attack time adds a subtle “point” to the source, making it ideal for crafting modern kick, snare, and bass guitar tones.

True to AudioScape’s standards, the AudioScape 76F uses only premium components that match the original unit’s specifications. Carbon film resistors are used in the audio path for vintage warmth, while precision metal film resistors in the sidechain ensure flawless performance. Whether used on kick drums, bass, vocals, or drum rooms, the AudioScape 76F is a versatile, reliable compressor that will bring your sound to life.
