The RME M-32 DA is a high-end 32-channel digital-to-analogue converter designed for professional studio, stage, and broadcast use. It delivers reference-class performance with a fully symmetrical analogue design and ultra-low distortion across all outputs. The unit provides 32 balanced line-level outputs via 6.3 mm TRS and 25-pin D-sub connectors, each with selectable reference levels of +13 dBu, +19 dBu, or +24 dBu. These outputs are derived from the same analogue circuitry used in RME’s flagship converters, ensuring a dynamic range of 118 dBA and extremely low harmonic distortion.
Digital audio input is available through one optical MADI port and four ADAT optical inputs, supporting operation at sample rates up to 192 kHz. All outputs maintain precise timing and clarity thanks to RME’s SteadyClock technology, which guarantees jitter suppression and stable synchronisation across all digital sources. Word Clock input and output are also included, allowing the RME M-32 DA to be used as a sync master or slave in complex setups.
A full set of status LEDs, one per channel with 6-stage metering, provides instant visual feedback. Control is possible via standard MIDI or MIDI over MADI, enabling remote operation of all critical settings. Housed in a robust 2U 19-inch rackmount chassis and powered by a wide-range internal PSU, the RME M-32 DA offers reliability, flexibility, and transparency in demanding multichannel digital-to-analogue applications.
