The RME Fireface UCX II is a compact, high-end USB audio interface designed for professional recording, mixing, and mobile production. Building on the legacy of the original UCX and incorporating technology from RME’s flagship interfaces, the UCX II offers 40 channels of simultaneous I/O, ultra-low latency performance, and the reliability RME is known for.
The RME Fireface UCX II features high-quality AD/DA conversion with up to 192 kHz sample rates and 24-bit resolution. It includes 2 digitally controlled mic/line preamps with individually switchable phantom power, 6 balanced line inputs, 8 balanced line outputs, and dual headphone outputs. Digital connectivity includes ADAT, SPDIF, and MIDI I/O, and the unit also supports standalone operation and USB Class Compliant mode for iOS devices.
TotalMix FX provides flexible routing, zero-latency monitoring, and powerful DSP-based effects, including EQ, reverb, and delay. The RME Fireface UCX II also supports DURec (Direct USB Recording), allowing up to 40 channels to be recorded directly to a USB drive without a computer. Word Clock I/O ensures precise digital sync with external gear.
