The EMT 982 CD player offers various special operational features for enhanced playback control. Users can preselect and preview the next track during playback and take advantage of eight memory slots for setting custom start and end points.

Positions can also be stored during playback, allowing for seamless transitions between different parts of a track. Additionally, programmed memories can be previewed at any time during playback, providing flexibility and ease of use.

The player includes sequence control options, with two modes: AUTO STOP off and AUTO STOP on. When AUTO STOP is off, the entire sequence is played continuously. With AUTO STOP on, playback positions at the next programmed take after completing a current take or stopping manually.

The loop function allows for freely adjustable start and end points, which can also be applied to sequences, giving more control over repeated segments.

For further precision, the VARISPEED control of the EMT 982 offers a range of ± 10% with a resolution of 0.1%, and all adjustments are digitally displayed. The indicated remaining time is automatically corrected based on speed variations, ensuring accuracy during playback.

An optional audio buffer feature enables instant modulation start, even when the laser is off, enhancing the unit’s responsiveness and reliability in professional settings.
