The Line 6 Helix Guitar Amp & Effects Processor uses dual-SHARC® processing and HX® Modelling to provide the genuine sound and feel of analogue amps and effects, while its user-friendly interface sets a new standard for simplicity. It offers a wide range of analogue and digital I/O, including wordclock for studio gear syncing. The optional Helix Control foot controller enhances functionality with capacitive-touch footswitches and customisable scribble strips.
The dual-SHARC® audio engine in Line 6 Helix faithfully replicates the sound and dynamic response of classic and modern amps and effects. Helix cabinet models offer 12 microphone types with adjustable positioning, and third-party impulse responses can also be loaded. Each amp’s circuitry is meticulously modelled for realistic sound and feel.
HX Modelling technology captures the unique characteristics of analogue effects, accurately recreating challenging effects like germanium fuzz and “bucket-brigade” delays. The Line 6 Helix interface simplifies use by replacing complex menus with intuitive interaction.
Line 6 Helix processors feature four stereo signal paths, allowing for advanced preset creation and simultaneous processing of up to four instruments. Preset Spillover is supported when using two signal paths. Snapshots let users create eight variations within a preset and switch between them seamlessly.
Helix processors can control any rig with up to six MIDI commands per preset or snapshot, along with amp switching and external pedal inputs. The Helix Control pedal adds 12 capacitive-touch footswitches, customizable scribble strips, and hands-free editing, providing full access to Line 6 Helix’s capabilities.
The HX Edit software mirrors the intuitive Helix interface, simplifying complex signal chain creation, footswitch customization, and parameter adjustments. The Powercab® family of active guitar speakers enhance the Helix experience, offering an authentic “amp-in-the-room” feel, with Powercab Plus integration via L6 LINK™ for seamless audio and control data transmission.
Line 6 Helix and Control support up to three optional expression pedals, and Helix Native brings Helix’s power to DAWs with full preset compatibility. The Helix platform also integrates 2-way control with Variax® guitars, enabling seamless interaction between instrument models, effects, and tunings.
