DigiTech 2112 Studio Guitar System

The DigiTech 2112 is the most powerful, versatile, and user-friendly guitar preamp/processor available. As the next evolution in high-performance guitar processing from DigiTech, the 2112 surpasses expectations, offering unmatched flexibility and control over your tone and digital effects.

DigiTech 2112 Studio Guitar System Details

The DigiTech 2112 is a fully programmable guitar preamp and effects processor designed for both studio and live use. It features a user-friendly layout, resembling a traditional guitar amplifier, with preamp controls on the front panel for instant access to key sound settings. Its digital effects are highly flexible, allowing users to rearrange them within different configurations for optimal ease of use.

A standout feature of the DigiTech 2112 is its dual distortion paths, enabling users to run tube distortion and solid-state distortion in parallel, which can be panned left and right for massive, expansive tones. These dual paths also provide smooth transitions from clean to distorted sounds.

The Dual S-DISC II processors offer seamless program changes, ensuring that delays and reverbs continue naturally when switching between programs. With a custom LCD display and illuminated buttons, the 2112 sets a new benchmark in power and ease of use for guitar processors and preamps.

DigiTech 2112 Analog Effects: Compression, Analog WahWah, TubeDistortion/Clean path (2-12AX7s), SolidState Distortion/Clean path

DigiTech 2112 Digital Effects: Choruses, Flangers, Phasers, Tremolo, AutoPan, Rotary Speakers, Detune, Chromatic PitchShift, Intelligent PitchShift, Whammy, Delays, Reverbs, PEQs, GEQs, Silencer-II NoiseReduction, NoiseGate, Compressor, Cabinet Emulation

DigiTech 2112 Inputs/Outputs: Guitar Input, Mono FX Loop (PreDistortion), Balanced TRS 1/4″ Outputs, MIDI In/Out-Thru, ExpPedal Input, Control One Input

The DigiTech 2112 delivers iconic DigiTech preamp tones, essential for both the studio and live performances.

  • Compression: Each DigiTech 2112 program includes a dynamic range compression circuit, specifically designed for guitar use.
  • Dual Distortion Paths: The DigiTech 2112 offers a variety of distortion options, allowing you to select which distortion path the signal follows. You can also run both paths in parallel and morph between them or pan them left and right simultaneously for massive guitar tones.
  • Dual Tubes and EQ: When using the dual tube distortion path, the 2112 features two 12AX7 preamp tubes, a 10-band graphic EQ, and a speaker cabinet emulator, which can be placed before or after the digital effects section.
  • Solid State and EQ: The solid-state distortion path also offers a 10-band EQ, noise gate, and speaker cabinet emulator for more versatility.
  • Digitally Controlled Analog Wah: Experience vintage analogue wah effects with digital control, ensuring quiet and authentic tonal characteristics.
  • Noise Reduction: The Silencer II noise reduction system eliminates background noise, offering crystal-clear recordings.
  • Programmable Cabinet Emulation: Forget the hassle of mic’ing speaker cabinets with the DigiTech 2112’s programmable cabinet emulator, providing great sound directly to the board or tape, both live and in the studio.

Up to 8 Digital Effects at Once
With dual S-DISC II processors, the DigiTech 2112 can run up to 8 digital effects simultaneously.

Seamless Program Changes
The DigiTech 2112 offers smooth program changes without signal dropout. You can adjust hold and release times to create overlapping effects, producing a morphing effect. Seamless program changes can be set on Page 5 of the Master Mix menu in Edit mode.

Real-Time Modifiers
Each program in the DigiTech 2112 has modifiers that let you dynamically alter your sound. You can assign up to 16 modifier links, which include:

  • MIDI CCs: Responds to MIDI CC numbers and channel pressure (aftertouch) for real-time control over parameters.
  • LFOs: Use two LFOs per program to automatically control parameter values between a set minimum and maximum.
  • Dynamic Modifiers: Control parameter values based on the dynamics of the input signal, offering limitless possibilities for sound shaping.

Solo Button
The Solo Button feature offers an instant 6 dB boost for solos, either via the front panel or the optional foot controller. This is ideal for stage performances or studio sessions, giving you extra volume when needed. To assign the Solo Button, press the <Solo> button and store, or link it to a footswitch through Page 3 of the Master Mix menu.
