dbx 1BX Dynamic Range Expander

The dbx 1BX is a compact audio processor renowned for its ability to enhance audio clarity, depth, and richness, making it an essential tool for musicians, sound engineers, and audiophiles seeking to elevate their listening experience.

dbx 1BX Dynamic Range Expander Details

Inspired by the success of the dbx 3BX, dbx aimed to make the benefits of linear expansion accessible to everyone. With the introduction of the dbx 1BX, dbx now offers expanders for every system and budget.

The dbx 1BX stands out as the most sophisticated one-band expander on the market, capable of delivering up to a 50% improvement in stereo dynamic range across a wide frequency spectrum.

It features a true RMS detector equipped with an infrasonic filter – 10 dB/octave at 30 Hz – to prevent mistracking caused by vibration, turntable rumble, or record warps.

Additionally, its 10-LED display allows you to monitor both the amount and direction of gain change during the expansion process, ensuring precise and enhanced audio performance.
